Gary graduated from Niagara University, where he majored in Psychology. Upon graduation, he worked as a social worker at The House of the Good Shepherd providing casework for the Adolescent boys program. The House of the Good Shepherd is a leading provider of treatment, education, and support services to the children and families of the community. They are known for providing services that are of the highest quality and value, delivered within the context of family, culture and community.

He joined The Carta Group in early 2020, but began his financial services career in 1997 with The Central NY Agency of MassMutual Financial Services. During this time Gary quickly became one of the top new agents in the country for MassMutual and received the Agent Growth Award which was given to the top 5% of new agents.  He also earned the MassMutual Leaders award and became a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), a prestigious association that only allows the world’s leading financial services professionals who demonstrate exceptional professional knowledge, strict ethical conduct and outstanding client service. In 2000 Gary joined Royal Alliance where he would remain for almost 20 years. Being one of the first at his firm to earn the AIF® (Accredited Investment Fiduciary) designation, Gary specialized in advising to Qualified Retirement Plans and providing Investment Advisory Services. He holds to a high standard that the process of servicing his clients be held not just to industry standards and regulations, but to the “Best Practices” of the industry. This best practices mandate is one that all AIF® designees adhere to.

Gary’s involvement in his community has continued throughout his career. He served on the Board of Directors for the Family Services of the Mohawk Valley, which offers Human Services case management including marriage, family and child counseling. He also served on the Development Board for Kids Oneida, which provides individualized and non-traditional services and care to the highest risk individuals and families with social, emotional, mental health and behavioral challenges.

Gary was born and raised in Whitesboro, NY where he still resides today. Gary and his wife Kristin have been married for 23 years and have two children, Gary Jr and Lucas. Both of his sons are student athletes attending college.
